Why do you love chorus?
I have found a second home in music and chorus! I love how music has the power to bring people and communities together through song. I think that chorus in particular brings together such a wonderfully unique group of people and allows us to share in beautiful moments of music and creat a loving community.
If you could be a kitchen appliance, what kitchen appliance would you be?
Hmm interesting question :) I think I would be a rolling pin beucase into my family we have a rolling pin that has been passed down through the generations from my great grandma and it would be so special to be and item like that which has so much sentimental value.
What is your favorite musical experience you have ever had?
I have had so many wonderful musical experiences but I especially loved singing all of Mozart’s Requim my junior year of high school with my school’s Select Choir! I also went on a music tour with an East Coast choir to five European countries. I met some amazing musicians and made some wonderful memories singing in cathedrals, town squares, and the Alps!
What is your favorite emoji (or the emoji that describes you best)?
I love any of the happy smiling emojis! Especially this one...😊
What’s your favorite song that you have ever sung in choir?
I love the song “I Carry Your Heart” by Eric Whitacre. I first sang this song in an MA District Choir and I later got to sing it again at my high school my senior year. Along with singing this song I also signed it in American Sign Language at our concerts and it was an extremely meaningful piece to express inclusion, unity, and love for one another which was so powerful and one of my favorite musical moments as well.
What are you most excited for this year?
I am so excited to be a part of Collegium! The musicians in this group are so welcoming and amazingly talented and I am so excited to sing with this group for the next four years of college! So much love for Collegium!
