It's that time of year again. After several much-deserved months of break, our return to school is starting to feel more like a reality. Collegium members have more than just settling into their new rooms and catching up with friends to look forward to- we also get to welcome new singers!
All of us were newies at some point, from driven choir veterans to hopeful choir newcomers and everything in-between. Somehow, even with a group of musicians with such a diverse set of musical, academic, and extracurricular interests, the Collegium experience provides something for everyone. Looking for a group versatile enough to skillfully perform a Bach motet, a large-scale Brahms piece, and a Brazilian folk song in the same season? Or a social organization that gives you a new home on an unfamiliar campus? Or just a place to destress between classes? Collegium is so much more than just a group that sings, and we'd love to have the chance to show you why.
If you're even the least bit interested, stop by for a 10-15 minute preliminary audition, held Monday, August 31~Friday, September 4th from 7-10 p.m. in the basement of Memorial Hall. Don't know where that is? Find directions here. You can also find more information in the Auditions tab.
